North Devon Primary School Students Unite for Zoom On-Line Karate Training
5pm Wednesday the 10th of February was the date of the inaugural Union Karate Do free primary school zoom on-line training session.
Union Karate Do a member of the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association has been awarded the safeguarding code in martial arts supported by Sport’s England.
Gary Blake, chief instructor at Union Karate Do commented:
“After collaboration with many North Devon primary schools 100 students enrolled for free zoom on-line karate classes. Along with Aaron Blake class instructor we have recognised the difficulties many young people in North Devon are facing due to the isolation felt during lockdown. We have received so much positive feedback from parents of our existing students therefore thought it would be a great idea to make our classes available to all children.”
Union Karate Do has around 150 students in North Devon who practise at classes in Braunton & Croyde.
Karate & self defence courses are carried out in North Devon schools.
